Considering an application to the CSUS School of Music?

You'll need to apply to the university for admission and take an audition at the School of Music. (If travel to CSUS for the audition creates a hardship, a live unedited video may be sent instead.)

AUDITIONS FOR THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Auditions are held in August, October, December, January, February, and May.

In addition, a competition for the Left Coast  New Music Apprenticeship Program will be held in February  2018.  The winners will have  special study opportunities in the field of contemporary music as well as paid outreach performances.

RESIDENCY

Tuition for California residents is significantly lower than out of state tuition. Graduate and undergraduate students over the age of 19 may be able to establish residency after living in the state for one year. For more information

Residents of Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands pay reduced tuition under California's agreements with the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE.)
